The Lakes Region Mutual Fire Aid Association recently earned the PRIME³ designation from the New Hampshire Public Risk Management Exchange (Primex³). The LRMFA Executive Board accepted the award presented by Robert Barry, Risk Management Consultant at their February meeting.

The PRIME³ program represents Primex³ 's Recognition of Risk Management Effort, and the LRMFA was acknowledged for implementing ten risk management Best Practices aimed at protecting employees, residents, and facilities. Primex³, a public entity risk pool with over 400 members, assists all of its members by using PRIME³ as a framework for employing a continued risk management improvement process.

The designation illustrates LRMFA's commitment to controlling costs through sound risk management practices. The designation avails LRMFA to a 2.5% discount in their worker' compensation and property and liability contributions which will total savings of approximately $673 annually.

LRMFA's Joint Loss Management Committee (safety committee) were instrumental in helping to implement the risk management best practices. LRMFA is among a small group of Primex³ Members who have achieved the designation.
